A curated list of experiences, events, and finds I loved this month.
Welcome to my monthly round-up of discoveries, from events worth attending to brands and experiences that caught my eye. This page is updated every month following my newsletter drop. Whether you’re looking for inspiration or something new to explore, I hope you find something here that brings a little joy to your everyday life.
This Month’s Highlight
This month, the highlight was something simple but deeply fulfilling, putting together a gift box for a family member. I spent a few quiet weeks gathering little things that reminded me of them, each one chosen with care.
It wasn’t rushed; I allowed the idea to come together slowly, adding pieces as they felt right. Some items were practical, others sentimental, all of them personal. Even the act of wrapping felt like part of the gift.
There was something so grounding in the process, the thoughtfulness, the wrapping, the anticipation. But the best part was seeing their face light up when they opened it. A reminder that the most meaningful gestures often take time, intention, and just a bit of craftiness.

Experiences I Tried
ForestFoods Farm Tour and Farmers Market
Last weekend, I spent a slow Saturday morning at the ForestFoods farm for their tour and farmers market. It was a refreshing reminder of where our food comes from, a quiet walk through their growing systems, thoughtful conversations with the farmers, and a deeper look into what goes into each veg box.
There’s something grounding about being in that space. No rush, no fuss, just good soil, honest work, and the kind of quiet that stays with you. If you’ve ever been curious about farm-to-table living or want to see more of what happens behind your groceries, I’d definitely recommend making time for their next one.

Brands I Discovered
Zuri Blooms
I came across Zuri Blooms this month and ordered a bouquet through their pop-up cart at Garden City Mall. They also offer home deliveries through their website: www.zuriblooms.co.ke.
What stood out was how easy it was to customise the arrangement, no overthinking, just soft colours and fresh, seasonal blooms. It turned out just right. If you’re looking to brighten up your space or send something thoughtful, they’re a lovely option to try.

Worth Repeating
Museum and gallery visits continue to be a quiet favourite of mine. There’s something about walking through a curated space, the stillness, the inspiration, the pause it gives you in the middle of a busy week. I visited a few earlier this year, and they’ve stayed with me.
In the coming weeks, I’ll be visiting a new art gallery with a few friends, always a welcome way to slow down, take in something new, and share thoughts afterwards over coffee. If you’ve been meaning to explore more of Nairobi’s creative spaces, this might be your sign.

That’s it for this month’s round-up — a collection of small joys, discoveries, and moments that stood out. I hope something here sparked a thought, an idea, or simply a sense of calm. As always, I’ll be back next month with a fresh list, shaped by what I’ve explored, enjoyed, and experienced.
Thanks for being here — and for making space to slow down, notice more, and take the scenic route with me.
